Keyboard shortcuts
Settings → Shortcuts lists every rebindable key combination in the app in a single table. Click the button on the right and press the combination to change it; press Esc to cancel recording.
Shortcuts are a per-device local preference. A change reaches the other windows immediately, so there is no need to reopen the workspace.
"Reset defaults" in the top right restores every binding at once; the button is greyed out when all bindings are already at their defaults.
Recording rules
Click the button once to start recording and the label becomes "Press shortcut..."; click again or press Esc to cancel.
- Every action except Send Message and Newline in Message must carry at least one modifier.
- Conflict detection asks "would this combination fire two actions at once" rather than comparing strings — so equivalent spellings like
mod+=andmod+shift++get caught too, with "Shortcut is already used by "{action}"". - Two pairs of actions are allowed to share the same keys, because they can never appear on the same surface: New Terminal ↔ New Conversation, and Close Current Terminal ↔ Close Current Tab. That is why
mod+tandmod+weach show up twice in the defaults.
mod in this notation is ⌘ on macOS and Ctrl elsewhere. On macOS modifiers render as run-together symbols (⌘⌥⇧), elsewhere as Ctrl+ / Alt+ / Shift+.

Worth knowing
- There is one more action not in this table: Suspend/resume custom style — an escape hatch that turns all custom colors and CSS off in one keystroke, and back on with another. It is unassigned by default, but a key you bound to it earlier still works.
- Unassigned actions show as "Unassigned".
- Computer use also has its own global stop shortcut, which is not on this screen — it has to claim the key at the system level, so it belongs to Computer use.
